## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT HAD A 100 HOUR AND ANNUAL INSPECTION COMPLETED. ^PRIVACY DATA ^ (PILOT) PERFORMED ENGINE RUN AFTER INSPECTION JUST PRIOR TO TAKE OFF. ENGINE GROUND RUN STATED TO BE NORMAL. AIRCRAFT TOOK OFF RUNWAY 8 EAST AND PILOT FELT THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT CLIMBING PROPERLY. AIRCRAFT CLIMBED TO ABOUT 200 FEET. NO ABNORMAL ENGINE SOUNDS OR INDICATIONS NOTICED BY PILOT OR PASSENGER. PILOT TRIED TO TURN AIRCRAFT BACK TO AIRPORT AND STALLED AIRCRAFT CAUSING IT TO IMPACT GROUND. PASSENGER WAS INJURED, PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI05LA091](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI05LA091), Apr 8, 2005: Aeronca 7AC (N82051), Wautoma, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The inadvertent stall and low airspeed by the pilot-in-command while maneuvering. Additional causes were the low altitude when the stall occurred and excessive takeoff weight by the pilot-in-command.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
