## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER 30 MINUTES OF CRUISE FLIGHT, THE PILOT IN COMMAND ^PRIVACY DAT^ PROCEEDED TO SWITCH FUEL TANKS FROM THE RIGHT TANK TO THE LEFT TANK BY MEANS OF THE FUEL SELECTOR VALVE. AFTER SWITCHING THE VALVE, THE FUEL PRESSURE DROPPED TO ZERO. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DAT^ TRIED SWITCHING FUEL TANKS AGAIN AND NOTICED A DECREASE IN ENGINE POWER. ON APPROACH TO HILLSDALE AIRPORT THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT CLIPPED THE TOP OF A TREE AND LANDED APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET SHORT OF RUNWAY 28.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
