## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT, ^PRIVACY DAT^ STATED THAT HE HAD MADE 4 GO AROUNDS BECAUSE HE HAD PROBLEMS LANDING THE AIRCRAFT. HE STATED HE THOUGHT WHEN HE TOUCHED DOWN, THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE GEAR CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO "BOUND" OR PORPOISING. ON HIS FIFTH ATTEMPT TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT, HE WAS GIVEN AN EXTENDED DOWNWIND BY ATC. HE STATED HE WAS CONCENTRATING SO HARD ON GETTING THE AIRCRAFT SET UP FOR LANDING THAT HE FORGOT TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
