## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA O^ LANDED HIS AIRPLANE ON WASHINGTON RD. IN AUGUSTA GA. IN ONE STATEMENT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ STATED HE WAS HAVING MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRPLANE. DURING AN INTERVIEW WITH FAA INSPECTORS HE SAID THAT HE LANDED DUE TO TURBULENCE HE ENCOUNTERED BELOW 100 FEET. WITNESSES AT THE SCENE STATED THAT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ SEEMED DISORIENTED AND CONFUSED. AN EMPLOYEE OF DANIEL FIELD WHERE THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ HAD DEPARTED FROM BEFORE HIS LANDING ON WASHINGTON RD. SAID THAT HE HAD LANDED AT DANIEL FIELD TWICE THAT MORNING. THE SECOND TIME THAT HE LANDED THERE HE HAD BEEN FLYING VERY LOW OVER THE FIELD. AFTER LANDING HE CAME INSIDE AND PURCHASED A ROAD MAP. HE SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN FLYING IN THE AREA ALL HIS LIFE BUT COULD NOT REMEMBER HOW TO GET HOME. IT WAS SOON AFTER THIS CONVERSATION THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ TOOK OFF FROM DANIEL FIELD AND LANDED ON WASHINGTON RD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
