## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT FILED A FLIGHT PLAN FROM HOU TO LIBERAL, KS. WHILE ENROUTE HE CONTACTED DFW ATC STATING "A TEMPERATURE VALVE HAS STUCK OPEN" AND ASKED TO DIVERT INTO DALLAS LOVE FIELD. PILOT DID NOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY W/DFW ATC, NOR DALLAS LOVE TOWER. DALLAS TOWER STATES ACFT LANDED W/O INCIDENT, CRASH RESCUE WAS NOT ALERTED, NOR DID PILOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. ASI CONTACTED FTW FSS AND COULD NOT OBTAIN AN ACFT N#, PILOT'S NAME OR OTHER INFORMATION. DALLAS TOWER DID NOT OBTAIN ANY INFORMATION FOR THE PILOT. ATC FAILED TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION FOR THIS INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
