## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO THE RUNWAY FOR LANDING THE LANDING GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN. THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR LIGHT REMIANED ILLUMINATED. A LOW PASS WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN ORDER FOR GROUND PERSONNEL TO SEE IF THE LANDING GEAR WAS PROPERLY EXTENDED. GROUND PERSONNEL ADVISED THE PILOT THAT THE LANDING GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT THEN MADE A LANDING. APPROXIMATELY 200-300 FT AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR FOLDED. THE AIRCRAFT SLID OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SAFELY EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
