## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR HAD BEEN PERFORMING AN INSTRUMENT COMPETENCY CHECK AND FLIGHT REVIEW. AFTER PRACTICE APPROACH AT KADA, THE FLAPS FAILED TO RETRACT. THEY FLEW TO H45 WITH FLAPS IN APPROACH POSITION AND PERFORMED A STRAIGHT-IN APPROACH. PILOT STATED HE SIMPLY FORGOT TO PLACE THE GEAR DOWN. HE NOTED THAT HE HEARD THE GEAR WARNING HORN AT THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RAISED OFF THE GROUND AND THE GEAR EXTENDED NORMALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
