## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PASSENGERS ON CONTINENTAL FLIGHT 066 (CLE-LGW) DID NOT LIKE THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS PROVIDED BY THE AIRLINE, WHICH MADE THEM UPSET. THE AIRLINE ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THEM TO NEW SEATS BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE PASSENGERS CONTINUED TO BE UPSET AND THE POLICE WERE CALLED. THE PASSENGERS VOLUNTARILY EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AND WERE RE-BOOKED FOR THE NEXT FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT NEVER LEFT THE GATE AND THE AIRLINE GROUND PERSONNEL HANDLED MOST OF THE INCIDENT. THE CABIN CREW WAS NOT KEPT FROM PERFORMING THEIR DUTIES AND THEY WERE NOT THREATENED IN ANY WAY. THE INCIDENT LOOKS TO BE AN AIRLINE SERVICE ISSUE AND NOT A FLIGHT CREW DISTURBANCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
