## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MONDAY 23 MAY 2005, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:25 EST, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS TEST FLYING HIS EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT VAN RV6A, N342BM, AT THE ORLANDO SANFORD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SFB), SANFORD, FLORIDA. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND EXECUTED A NORMAL LANDING ON RUNWAY 9L. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, DURING THE ROLLOUT, THE NOSE LANDING GEAR STRUT STRUCTURALLY FAILED CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY SURFACE. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE WITH NO INJURY TO THE PILOT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
