## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS GOING TO EXECUTE A SHORT FIELD TAKE-OFF FROM RUNWAY 33 AT CREST AIRPARK. THE WINDS WERE GUSTY AT THE TIME AND DURING THE TAKE-OFF ROLL THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT OF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THE STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD MADE A POOR DECISION OF TRYING TO LIFT OFF TOO SOON AND HAD NOT MAINTAINED ADEQUATE AIRSPEED. THE STUDENT PILOT FURTHER STATED THAT HE HAD PULLED BACK ON THE STICK AND BASICALLY JERKED THE AIRCRAFT UP AND INTO THE AIR. THE RIGHT WING THEN DIPPED SHARPLY AND MADE SLIGHT CONTACT WITH THE GROUND. AT THAT POINT THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT HE HAD CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND HAD MANAGED TO GET THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
