## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS IN THE LOCAL TRAFFIC PATTERN PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. THE PILOT DECIDED TO ATTEMPT A SIMULATED ENGINE OUT LANDING. THE PILOT PULLED BACK THE POWER ON DOWN WIND AND SET UP FOR THE LANDING. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT AIRSPEED WAS MAINTAINED AT 65 KIAS (NO FLAPS SET) AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS LINED UP ON THE RUNWAY (ALTITUDE UNKNOWN). THE PILOT STATED THAT "SOMETHING" DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT AND HE INITIATED A GO-AROUND. POWER WAS APPLIED. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT RIGHT WING DOWN (WHICH THE PILOT CORRECTED) FOLLOWED BY LEFT WING DOWN (WHICH THE PILOT CORRECTED) AND THEN RIGHT WING DOWN. THE WINGTIP IMPACTED THE RUNWAY FOLLOWED BY THE AIRCRAFT IN A SLIGHTLY NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE. THE AIRCRAFT SLID AND CAME TO REST ON THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT SAFELY EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
