(-23) THE WALLER COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPT. REPORTED A PA-25, REG. N7220Z, HAS LOST POWER AND CRASHED IN A FIELD AFTER HITTING SOME POWER LINES AND A TREE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOCATED NEAR THE VICINITY OF THE GLIDER PORT (89TA), 12 MILES NW OF WALLER, TX. THE PILOT EXPLAINED HE LOST POWER AT 3000 FEET MSL, AFTER TOWING HIS TWELFTH GLIDER 3 MILES WEST OF THE AIRFIELD, DURING HIS RETURN TO THE FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS AT 1000 FEET AGL AS HE LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT IN WHAT HE DESCRIBED AS A STALL OR NEAR-SPIN. HE RECOVERED THE AIRCRAFT AT LOW ALTITUDE JUST AS HE WS HITTING THE POWER LINES AND TREE DURING THE LANDING. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
