## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS ENROUTE TO KSOP, ENTERED PATTERN AND NOTICED HE DID NOT HAVE 3 GREENS, THE R/S MLG INDICATED IT WAS NOT DOWN AND LOCKED. PIC EXECUTED 2 LOW PASSES FOR INSPECTION BY GROUND PERSONNEL. PERSONNEL ON THE GROUND TOLD PIC THAT IT APPEARED TO BE DOWN AND LOCKED. PIC LANDED RWY 5 AND R/S MLG COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE R/S OF THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE. DURING POST EVENT INSPECTION IT WAS NOTED THAT THE OVER CENTER LINK WAS BROKEN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
