## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT MADE A SPUR OF THE MOMENT DECISION TO MAKE A FULL STOP PRACTICE LANDING AND TAXI BACK TAKEOFF BEFORE CONTINUING TO HIS NEXT DESTINATION OF FLYING W AIRPORT. PILOT LANDED APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET FROM THE END OF RUNWAY 8, ROLLED ANOTHER 500 FEET UNTIL SLOWING DOWN WHEN HE HIT A PATCH OF VERY SOFT SAND AT THE INTERSECTION OF BOTH RUNWAYS. THE NOSE GEAR BEGAN TO SINK IN THE SOFT SAND AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER ON IT'S BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB IAD05LA088](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/IAD05LA088), Jun 23, 2005: Cessna T206H (N72806), Vineland, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate preflight planning, which resulted in his decision to land at a closed airport.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
