## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT APPROXIMATELY 1820, JUNE 26, 2005, A MOONEY M20-J CRASHED DURING LANDING ON RUNWAY 24 AT N57 NEW GARDEN AIRPORT. THE PILOT STATED THAT SHE WAS TOO SLOW AND BOUNCED HARD ON LANDING. SHE ALSO STATED THAT SHE APPLIED FULL POWER AND FORGOT TO PUT IN RIGHT RUDDER. THE PLANE IMPACTED TREES AND WAS DEMOLISHED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC05CA108](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC05CA108), Jun 26, 2005: Mooney M-20J (N4750H), Toughkenamon, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during an aborted landing, which resulted in an in-flight collision with trees. A factor was the crosswind.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
