## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 4, 2005, AT APPROXIMATELY 1100 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME (EDT), A BEECH BE-33-F33A AIRCRAFT, PILOTED BY A PRIVATE PILOT, SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE WHILE LANDING AT CAPE MAY COUNTY AIRPORT. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT ON BOARD. THE PILOT'S WRITTEN STATEMENT DISCLOSED THAT "...HE DID NOT CHECK FOR THE GEAR TO BE DOWN AND PROCEEDED TO LAND GEAR UP." UPON LANDING THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED A PROPELLER STRIKE, DAMAGE TO THE FLAPS AND FUSELAGE UNDERBELLY. THE FLIGHT WAS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF 14 CFR PART 91. THE FLIGHT HAD ORIGINATED FROM KMTN, MARTIN STATE, MD AT APPROXIMATELY 1020 EDT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
