## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA ^ WHILE LANDING AT MARSHALL COUNTY AIRPORT, LACON IL THE PROPERLY CERTIFICATED AND RATED PILOT AND ONLY OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR AND THE VISUAL INDICATOR IN THE COCKPIT DID NOT APPEAR TO BE CORRECT. THE PIC THEN RECYCLED THE GEAR AND IT APPEARED TO BE CORRECT. UPON LANDING THE PIC EXPERIENCED A COLLAPSE OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR ON ROLL OUT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT INJURY; THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR DOORS AND NOSE COWL AREA, AND PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
