## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT FLEW THE ON DEMAND FLIGHT FROM BET TO AKIACHAK (KKI) WITH THREE PASSENGERS. IN A WRITTEN STATEMENT FROM THE PILOT, HE REPORTED BEING A LITTLE HIGH ON FINAL APPROACH AND CARRYING 10 EXTRA KNOTS AIRSPEED, DUE TO A CROSSWIND AT THE AIRPORT. HE STATES HE THOUGHT ABOUT GOING AROUND, BUT DECIDED TO LAND HALF WAY DOWN THE 1649 FOOT GRAVEL RUNWAY. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE PILOT REALIZED THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH RUNWAY REMAINING TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT. HE ADDED POWER TO TAKEOFF, BUT NEVER GOT AIRBORNE BEFORE GOING OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND DOWN A HILL TO THE LEFT, WHERE THE LEFT WING AND NOSE HIT THE GROUND, THE AIRCRAFT THEN FLIPPED OVER AND CAME TO REST INVERTED IN APPROXIMATELY THREE FEET OF WATER IN THE SLOUGH WHICH RUNS BY THE AIRPORT. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO HELP ONE OF THE PASSENGERS (A CHILD) GET OUT OF THE AIRPLANE, AND THE ADULT PASSENGER AND OTHER CHILD GOT OUT AFTER THEM. THERE WERE NO PHYSICAL INJURIES REPORTED.
