## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 22 AT THE SOLBERG AIRPORT, THE PILOT STATED HE OVERLOOKED CHECKING IF THE LANDING GEAR WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE PILOT STATED HE WAS ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM COLUMBUS, OH. HE STATED ATC CLEARED HIM FROM 5,000 FEET TO 2,500 FEET. TO SILENCE HIS GEAR HORN FOR THE DESCENT, HE ADDED POWER AND BROUGHT THE MANIFOLD PRESSURE FROM 15 INCHES TO 16 INCHES. FROM THAT POINT ON, HE ONLY REDUCED THE POWER FURTHER. THE PILOT FELT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE MICROSWITCH CAUSING THE HORN NOT TO SOUND AGAIN.

## Other reports on N246BB (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20011005028309I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20011005028309I), Oct 5, 2001: Mooney M20J (N246BB), Trenton, NJ, Minor damage. (-23) Pilot admitted he forgot to lower the land gear for landing (see attached statement) on runway 24 at the Trenton-Mercer County Airport.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
