## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 13, 2005, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ WAS PILOT IN COMMAND OF BEECHCRAFT BONANZA MODEL BE-35-H35, N5576D, SERIAL NUMBER D-5106 WHEN THE AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT OREGON CITY, OR, AERO ACRES, AIRPORT ID OG30 AT ABOUT 1858 HOURS PDT. THE RUNWAY LANDING LENGTH IS 1790 FEET ON A GRASS SURFACE. DURING THE APPROACH, JUST BEFORE INITIAL TOUCHDOWN, A DOG RAN ACROSS THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT PULLED UP TO CLEAR THE DOG THEN ATTEMPTED TO LAND. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO BRING THE AIRCRAFT TO A FULL STOP BEFORE RUNNING OUT OF RUNWAY. THERE IS A DRY WEATHER DRAINAGE DITCH AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY THAT IS ABOUT 5 FEET DEEP. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMPTING A RIGHT TURN WHEN IT ENTERED THE DITCH CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO BE BROKEN OFF TO THE LEFT AND THE LEFT MAIN GEAR TO COLLAPSE WHICH IN TURN CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT LEFT WING, LEFT FLAP, AND LEFT SIDE OF FUSELAGE AT THE WING ATTACH POINTS.
