## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT ^PRIVAC^ WAS NORTHBOUND, RETURNING TO BASE, COMMUNICATING WITH ANOTHER COMPANY PLANE WORKING A FIELD APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE IN FRONT OF HIM. HE WAS UNAWARE THAT PILOT ^PRIVAC^ WAS SPRAYING THE FIELD BENEATH HIM AND DID NOT SEE HIM UNTIL IMMEDIATELY BEFORE IMPACT. DUE TO THE SUN IN HIS EYES AND HAZE, PILOT ^PRIVAC^ DID NOT SEE THE PLANE UNTIL HE PULLED UP AT THE END OF A ROW. PILOT ^PRIVAC^ ATTEMPTED TO ROLL THE PLANE TO THE LEFT. PILOT ^PRIVAC^ STRUCK THE OUTER ONE-THIRD OF THE RIGHT WING OF THE NORTHBOUND PLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW05LA182](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW05LA182), Jul 14, 2005: Ayres S2R-T15 (N3098R), Bonita, LA, minor damage. Probable cause: The failure of the pilot to maintain adequate visual lookout, which resulted in a midair collision.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
