## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE TAKING OFF FROM A VERY ROUGH AND NON-MAINTAINED BACK COUNTRY AIRSTRIP, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A MOUND OF DIRT POSSIBLY CONSTRUCTED BY A WILDERNESS ANIMAL OF SOME SORT. THE MOUND OF DIRT AND ASSOCIATED HOLE WAS HIDDEN BY TALL GRASS AND WEEDS. DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING, LANDING GEAR AND RUDDER WAS CAUSED BY HITTING OBJECTS DURING ATTEMPT TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT AFTER IT WENT OFF THE RUNWAY.
