## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT LANDED AT INT AT APPROXIMATELY 1530 WITH STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR ON BOARD. INSTRUCTOR GAVE THE STUDENT ADDITIONAL GROUND TRAINING AND THEN ENDORSED HIM FOR SOLO FLIGHT AT INT. STUDENT TAXIED OUT SOLO AND DID A NORMAL TAKEOFF ON RUNWAY 22. ON DOWNWIND, THE STUDENT HAD TROUBLE HEARING THE CONTROLLER DUE TO STATIC ON THE RADIO. ON BASE LEG, THE STUDENT FINALLY RECEIVED HIS CLEARANCE TO LAND AND BEGAN HIS DESCENT FROM THAT POINT. THE THROTTLE WAS REDUCED TO IDLE AND FULL FLAPS WERE EXTENDED DUE TO THE HIGH APPROACH. THE STUDENT EXECUTED A NORMAL FLARE AND HIT THE RUNWAY HARD CAUSING HIM TO BOUNCE BACK INTO THE AIR. HE THEN PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE AND STALLED THE AIRCRAFT AT APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET CAUSING HIM TO LAND HARD AGAIN ON ALL THREE WHEELS. INSPECTION REVEALED WRINKLING OF THE FIREWALL ALONG THE NOSEWHEEL SUPPORT STRUCTURE. THE BELLY SKIN IS WRINKLED AS WELL AS THE RUDDER SKIN. THE TAIL NAVIGATION LIGHT WAS ALSO KNOCKED OFF IN THE IMPACT.
