## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT WAS PERFORMING SHORT FIELD LANDING ON RUNWAY 24 AT MUSKEGON AIRPORT. ON DOWNWIND, LOWERED GEAR AND SHOWED 3 GREEN LIGHTS, NO RED LIGHTS AND ONE IN THE MIRROR ON THE NACELLE. ON SHORT FINAL, CONFIRMED 3 GREEN LIGHTS AGAIN. UPON THE FLARE, THE SINK RATE WAS A LITTLE HIGH RESULTING IN BOTH PILOTS PULLING BACK ON THE YOKE. ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTOR, THE LANDING WAS FIRM, BUT NOT HARD. UPON ROLLOUT, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND AIRCRAFT SLID 500-800 FEET. AN AIRCRAFT SHUTDOWN WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS EXITED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
