## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED THAT THE RIGHT ENGINE THROTTLE ROLLED BACK TO IDLE POSITION DURING TAKEOFF ROLL, THE PILOT REDUCED THE POWER ON THE LEFT ENGINE TO IDLE BUT COULD NOT MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING THE ABORTED TAKEOFF AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE HARD SURFACE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON THE RUNWAY BUT COULD NOT STOP IN THE REMAINING RUNWAY AVAILABLE. THE AIRCRAFT AGAIN DEPARTED THE HARD SURFACE RUNWAY AFTER THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A HIGH SPEED LEFT TURN TOWARDS A TAXIWAY WHICH CREATED SIDE LOADS ON THE LEFT GEAR CAUSING THE LEFT GEAR TO COLLAPSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
