## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT HAD COMPLETED AN ILS INSTRUMENT APPROACH TO RUNWAY 6R AT RYAN FIELD (RYN) WITH A CIRCLE TO LAND RUNWAY 24L. PILOTS STATED THAT THE GREEN GEAR DOWN INDICATOR WAS ON AND THE MANUAL INDICATOR ON THE FLOOR INDICATED THE GEAR WAS IN THE EXTENDED POSITION. AS PER THE POH THIS INDICATOR INDICATES NOSE GEAR POSITION ONLY. AS THE NOSE WAS LOWERED THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DAMAGING THE NOSE, BOTH ENGINES AND PROPELLERS. THE FOREWARD NOSE GEAR RETRACT ROD ATTACH POINT SHEARED AS PER MAINTENANCE. NO ADDITIONAL CAUSAL FACTORS AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
