## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WRITTEN STATEMENT OF THE PILOT INDICATES THAT HE SAW 3 GREEN LANDING GEAR LIGHTS ON APPROACH TO RUNWAY 3; AS THE MAIN LANDING GEAR TOUCHED DOWN, HE STATES THAT A RED 'GEAR UNSAFE' LIGHT CAME ON, AND THAT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT, SKIDDING 230 FT. BEYOND THE TOUCHDOWN POINT, AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FROM EAGLES VIEW AVIATION STATED THAT THE NOSE GEAR DROPPED INTO PLACE AND LOCKED IN THE DOWN POSITION WHEN THE TAIL WAS LOWERED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TOWED TO THE EAGLES VIEW HANGAR. PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR DOORS INDICATE THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT FULLY DOWN WHEN THE AIRCRAFT LANDED. FRICTION DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT NOSE GEAR DOOR WAS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR; THE LEFT SIDE NOSE GEAR DOOR WAS SCRAPED ON THE INSIDE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
