## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AG PILOT WAS SPRAYING ON A NORTH-SOUTH RUN AND COMMENCING A HART TURN TO REVERSE COURSE. HALFWAY THROUGH THE TURN, AT AN IAS OF 100-110, THE ENGINE FLAMED OUT. IN THE PROCESS OF LOCATING A SUITABLE SITE TO LAND, THE PILOT WAS CONFRONTED WITH A DOUBLE POLE POWER LINE, A DEEP DRAINAGE DITCH AND AN IRRIGATION CHANNEL. PIC MISSED ALL OF THE OBSTACLES AND AIRCRAFT STALLED ABOUT 6-10 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND WHERE IT EVENTUALLY CAME TO REST. DAMAGE WAS SUBSTANTIAL AS THE AIRPLANE'S RIGHT WINGTIP STRUCK FIRST AND THEN THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR, WHICH COLLAPSED ON IMPACT. AIRPLANE WAS REMOVED TO A HANGAR IN LYFORD AND IS AWAITING AN ENGINE TEARDOWN. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
