## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO THE STUDENT PILOT, HIS FINAL APPROACH WAS FAST AND SUBSEQUENTLY HE LANDED ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN THE GRAVEL RUNWAY. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. HE ATTEMPTED TO BRING THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE CENTER LINE OF THE RUNWAY BUT SOME HOW LOST CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND DOWN INTO A DITCH. A MECHANIC LATER REPORTED THAT NO DAMAGE HAD OCCURRED TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
