## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE LANDING DURING FOURTH SUPERVISED SOLO FLIGHT IN THE PATTERN AT JOHNSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (OJC), THE STUDENT PILOT FLARED THE AIRCRAFT TOO HIGH AND EARLY, RESULTING IN A SUDDEN DROP TO THE RUNWAY, FOLLOWED BY APPROXIMATELY THREE BOUNCES OF INCREASING TENDANCY. THE AIRPLANE DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND STOPPED IN THE GRASS WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRPORT PROPERTY, BUT DAMAGED THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER AND NOSE GEAR. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
