## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A LANDING AT SCHAUMBURG AIRPORT AND FOUND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO CYCLE THE GEAR, HOWEVER THE CONTROL TOWER STATED THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT DOWN. THE PILOT THEN DIVERTED TO DUPAGE AIRPORT, AND FOLLOWING THE SAME ROUTINE, THE TOWER ADVISED HIM THAT THE NOSE GEAR DOORS WERE PARTIALLY OPEN, BUT THE GEAR WAS STILL NOT DOWN. THE PILOT THEN RETRACTED THE MAIN LANDING GEAR AND MADE A SUCCESSFUL GEAR UP LANDING. NO INJURIES RESULTED FROM THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
