## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT PILOT WAS PERFORMING A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT WHEN SHE EXPERIENCED A ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE. AFTER GOING THROUGH THE CHECK LIST OF ITEMS TO CHECK AND PERFORM, SHE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH NORCAL TRACON (NCT) AND LANDED AT TRACY MUNI (TCY) WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FROM TRACY FLIGHT CENTER DID A PRELIMINARY INSPECTION AND FOUND NO ANOMALIES. SINCE THE STUDENT PILOT WAS TOO UPSET TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT ONTO ITS DESTINATION, REID HILLVIEW (RHV), AN ADDITIONAL AIRCRAFT AND PILOT WAS DISPATCHED TO TCY AND FLEW THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO RHV WITHOUT FURTHER PROBLEMS. I SUSPECT, AS DOES THE PILOT AND ALL INVOLVED WITH THIS INCIDENT, THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CARB. ICE.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
