## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 08/27/05 AT APPROXIMATELY 1:00 PM (1300), AN AIRCRAFT MODEL RANS S-12XL, WHICH WAS NOT REGISTERED AND IS OWNED BY THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA O^, STALLED DURING APPROACH TO THE AIRPORT IN HILLSBORO, TX. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND THE AIRPLANE ON A FLIGHT FROM CORSICANA TO HILLSBORO, TX, THE PILOT LOST CONTROL. PURPOSE OF FLIGHT WAS PERSONAL, THE FLIGHT CONDITIONS WERE VMC, THERE WAS NO FLIGHT PLAN, INJURIES TO THE PILOT WERE SERIOUS, AND THE PILOT DOES NOT HOLD A PILOT CERTIFICATE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
