## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA^ WAS ATTEMPTING TO TAKE OFF TO THE SOUTHWEST FROM HIS PRIVATE GRASS STRIP LOCATED IN MCCONNELL, IL. DURING THE TAKEOFF RUN, JUST AS THE AIRCRAFT LIFTED OFF THE RUNWAY THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA^ RETARDED THE THROTTLE AND TURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO LEFT INTO THE CORN FIELD. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA^ SAID THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT FEEL RIGHT AND HE FELT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT CLEAR THE EMBANKMENT AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT WING STRUCK THE CORN AT APPROXIMATELY FOUR FEET OFF THE GROUND, THIS TURNED THE AIRCRAFT AROUND CAUSING THE RIGHT WING TO STRIKE THE CORN AND THE GROUND. BOTH WINGS SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE NOSE WHEEL PAN. AIRCRAFT HAD FUEL IN BOTH WINGS, NO FIRE AFTER ACCIDENT.
