## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT STRUCK A DEER WHILE LANDING AT BEAVER ISLAND AIRPORT, MI (SJX). PILOT MADE A GO AROUND AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 270. UPON LANDING THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL TURNED SIDEWAYS AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO THE SOUTH END OF RUNWAY SOME 150 FEET BEFORE COMING TO A FULL STOP. DAMAGE TO THE LEFT LANDING GEAR WAS MINOR (BENT CLEVIS ROD WITH BROKEN ATTACHMENT). THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE TWO PASSENGERS OR PILOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
