## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2005, AT 1545 EDT, A NON-CERTIFIED, NON-REGISTERED BELL 47G, WAS INVOLVED IN A DYNAMIC ROLL-OVER WHILE TAXIING IN CONTACT WITH THE GROUND AT CLEARWATER AIRPARK, OH (21O1). VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. THE PILOT WHO HAD AN EXPIRED STUDENT PILOT'S CERTIFICATE WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE PILOT HAD NO EXPERIENCE OR INSTRUCTION IN HELICOPTERS. THE PILOT WAS TRYING TO MOVE THE HELICOPTER FROM THE HANGAR TO A DISPLAY AREA 500 FEET AWAY BY SLIDING IT ON THE GROUND. WHILE SLIDING ON THE GROUND THE SKIDS STUCK AND THE HELICOPTER ROLLED ON ITS SIDE AS A RESULT OF DYNAMIC ROLL-OVER. THERE WAS NO INTENT TO FLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
