## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2005, AT 1100 EDT, A CESSNA AIRCRAFT CE-175-A, S/N 56306, N859Z, OPERATED BY PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH, AFTER LANDING AT THE WEEDSPORT-WHITFORDS AIRPORT (KB16). THE PILOT CONTACTED THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT, AND REMOVED THE NOSE GEAR WHEEL PANTS, THEN RETURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DAMAGED SLIGHTLY AND THERE WERE MINOR INJURIES TO THE PASSENGER. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE WATERLOO-AIRTREK AIRPORT (KD93), WATERLOO, NEW YORK ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2005, AT APPROXIMATELY 1030 EDT. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
