(-23) ON 9/6/05 AT 2030 EDT A MOONEY M20C, REGISTRATION NUMBER N7886V MADE A GEAR UP LANDING ON RUNWAY 32 IN FITCHBURG, MA. WEATHER AT THE TIME WAS CLEAR AND THE WINDS WERE CALM. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY TWO HUNDRED FEET BEYOND THE INTERSECTION OF RUNWAY 20. POSSIBLE PROP STRIKE MARKS WERE FOUND APPROXIMATELY TWO HUNDRED FEET BEFORE THE INTERSECTION OF RUNWAY 20. THE PILOT STATED THE FOLLOWING: THAT THERE WAS NOTHING UNUSUAL AND THE LANDING WAS SMOOTH, TOUCHING DOWN 1500 FEET AFTER THE NUMBERS. THEY THEN ROLLED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION OF RUNWAY 20. APPROXIMATELY FIVE HUNDRED FEET AFTER THE INTERSECTION THE GEAR COLLAPSED AT AN ESTIMATED SPEED OF 20 TO 25 MPH. THE AIRPLANE SLID APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
