## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS TAKING OFF RUNWAY 09 AT MARSTON MILLS AIRPORT, MARSTON MILLS, MA. ON THE TAKEOFF ROLL HE MANAGED TO GET THE AIRCRAFT IN THE AIR AND THEN SETTLE BACK DOWN ON THE RUNWAY THEN CONTINUED TO TAKEOFF AGAIN IN A HIGH PITCH ATTITUDE CROSSING OVER TREES STALLING AND THEN CRASHED ON TO THE DRIVING RANGE OF THE OLD BARNSTABLE FAIR GROUNDS GOLF COURSE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC05LA141](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC05LA141), Sep 10, 2005: Piper PA-28-140 (N6777W), Marstons Mills, MA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to attain a climb during takeoff which resulted in a diminished climb rate and subsequent collision with trees. Factors were the turf runway and a tailwind.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
