## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THIS DATE AT APPROXIMATELY 12:10 HOURS, THIS AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE FUELING AREA, TO BE REFUELED. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP AND BEFORE THE CREW COULD APPLY THE ROTOR BRAKE THE GROUND REFUELER WALKED INTO THE ARC OF THE ROTOR BLADE. HE WAS STRUCK ABOVE THE LEFT EYE CAUSING SERIOUS INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB IAD05LA135](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/IAD05LA135), Sep 13, 2005: Sikorsky S-76B (N14CS), Linden, NJ, no damage. Probable cause: The lineman's failure to maintain adequate clearance from the main rotor system. A factor was his lack of familiarity with the accident helicopter make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
