SINCE HE WAS OPERATING THE CONTROLS FROM THE BACK SEAT, HE WAS USING S-TURNS TO INCREASE VISIBILITY. AS HE BEGAN HIS S-TURN, AIRCRAFT RAN INTO A PARKED AIRPLANE ON THE RAMP. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER IN THE J-3 WERE NOT INJURED. THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE PARKED CE-172. BOTH AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
