## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ WAS CONDUCTING TRAINING FOR THE SECOND PILOT ^PRIVACY D^ PER HIS REQUEST IN ORDER TO BECOME QUALIFIED IN THE AIRCRAFT AND FOR THE PURPOSES OF COMPLETING A FLIGHT REVIEW. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ HAD FLOWN THE AIRCRAFT FOR ABOUT THREE HOURS PRIOR TO THIS FLIGHT HIMSELF TO BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH THE AIRCRAFT. THIS WAS THE THIRD FLIGHT OF THE DAY FOR THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ IN THIS AIRCRAFT AND THE SECOND INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT FOR THE SECOND PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ UPON HEARING ANOTHER AIRCRAFT REPORT IN FOR LANDING, THE SECOND PILOT ^PRIVACY D^ INITIATED THE TAKE-OFF ROLL AND ABRUPTLY APPLIED FULL POWER. AT THIS POINT THE SECOND PILOT ^PRIVACY ^ OVERCORRECTED WITH RUDDER AND BEGAN A SERIES OF LEFT-RIGHT OSCILLATIONS AND THEN LOCKED THE RUDDER PEDALS IN THE FULL-RIGHT POSITION. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT BUT WAS UNABLE TO FREE THE RUDDER PEDALS. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY AND SHEARED OFF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR STRUT AT WHICH POINT THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST JUST OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
