## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER TOUCHING DOWN FOLLOWING A NORMAL LANDING THE NOSE GEAR BEGAN TO SHIMMY. PILOT REPORTED HE APPLIED MAXIMUM BRAKING WHICH RESULTED IN THE LEFT MAIN TIRE OF THE AIRCRAFT DEFLATING. THE DRAG FROM THE DEFLATED TIRE CAUSED A LATERAL EXCURSION OF THE AIRCRAFT TOWARD THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN TIRE OF THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST WITH THE INSIDE WALL OF THE TIRE TOUCHING THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST WITH THE INSIDE WALL OF THE TIRE STILL TOUCHING THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY AFTER HAVING TRAVELLED A FORWARD DISTANCE OF ONE TO TWO FEET WHILE OFF THE RUNWAY. THE NSE WHEEL SHIMMY DAMPER AND LEFT MAIN TIRE WERE REPLACED, AS WAS THE LEFT MAIN GEAR RIM AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE. NO OTHER DAMAGE REPORTED. NO FURTHER ACTION TAKEN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
