## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 10, 2005, CONTINENTAL EXPRESS FLIGHT NUMBER 3000 AT 1915 LOCAL TIME WHILE ENROUTE FROM IAH TO ICT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO BOTH ENGINES FUEL QUANTITY INDICATORS FAILING. THE LEFT ENGINE'S FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR READ ZERO WHILE ON DESCENT TO WICHITA MID CONTINENT AIRPORT, AND THE RIGHT ENGINE'S FUEL QUANTITY INDICATOR DROPPED TO ZERO ON SHORT FINAL. THE CREW REPORTED THAT BOTH ENGINES STILL MAINTAINED FUEL FLOW AND KEPT RUNNING THROUGHOUT FLIGHT. EMERGENCY VEHICLES WERE DISPATCHED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
