## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO LANDING AT THE SARGENT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, SARGENT, NEBRASKA, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A RUNWAY THRESHOLD LIGHT WITH THE PROPELLER TIP. THE PILOT WAS AIMING FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE RUNWAY, TO LAND ON THE THRESHOLD, WHEN HE ENCOUNTERED WIND SHEAR AND HE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF LIFT. CONDITIONS AT SARGENT WERE GUSTY WINDS AND CLEAR SKIES. THE SARGENT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT DOES NOT HAVE A VASI OR PAPI TO GIVE THE PILOT ANY VERTICAL PATH INFORMATION. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO ONE PROPELLER BLADE TIP AND ONE RUNWAY THRESHOLD LIGHT WAS BROKEN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
