## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 11/05/2005, AT 10:26 LOCAL TIME, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 13 AT THE GREATER PEORIA REGIONAL AIRPORT, THE PILOT OF N1992M, A MOONEY M20M, NOTICED THE NOSE SETTLING AND A TICKING NOISE THOUGHT TO BE THE PROPELLER STRIKING THE PAVEMENT. HE INITIATED A GO AROUND AND FLEW BY THE TOWER. THIS CONFIRMED THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT EXTENDED. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED AN UNSUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION. THE PILOT THEN LANDED ON RUNWAY 13 ALLOWING THE NOSE TO SETTLE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER, ENGINE, AND NOSE GEAR DOORS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
