## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED ON CLIMB OUT THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE FIRE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. THE PILOT PULLED THE THROTTLES BACK ON THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE AND THE FIRE INDICATION LIGHT BECAME INTERMITTENT. THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT INCIDENT AND SHUT DOWN THE #2 ENGINE AND INITIATED BOTH FIRE BOTTLES ON THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE. THE PASSENGERS WERE EVACUATED NORMALLY WITHOUT INJURY. THE AIR CARRIER MECHANICS CHANGED THE LOWER #2 ENGINE FIRE LOOP ELEMENT AND REMOVED AND REPLACED BOTH FIRE BOTTLES AND FERRIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THEIR MAINTENANCE BASE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
