## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 11/09/2005, AT 10:45 LOCAL TIME, AN EXPERIMENTAL RV-6 AIRCRAFT, N929BY, OWNED BY AND REGISTERED TO THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MADE AN EMERGENCY OFF AIRFIELD LANDING AFTER STRIKING A WINDSOCK IMMEDIATELY AFTER LIFT OFF ON A PERSONAL FLIGHT. VFR CONDITIONS PREVAILED, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED. THE PILOT HOLDS A PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ WITH AN INSTRUMENT AIRPLANE RATING. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM THE PILOT'S PRIVATE AIRFIELD AT LORENA, TEXAS, AT 10:45 LOCAL TIME, ON 11/09/2005.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
