## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER PILOT LANDED, HE WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE GROUND CREW TO HOVER TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION FOR PATIENT PICKUP. NEITHER THE GROUND PERSONNEL OR PILOT SAW THE POWERLINES AT THE NEW LOCATION. SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, THE HELICOPTER CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE POWERLINES, WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY RESULTED IN DAMAGE TO THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES, AND ENGINE/TRANSMISSION COWLING. AFTER REVIEWING THE 135 GENERAL OPERATIONS MANUAL (FLIGHT OPERATIONS - CH. 3, REV. 127), IT APPEARS THAT CJ SYSTEMS GUIDANCE, DOES NOT ADDRESS PROCEDURES ON HOW TO DEPART FROM AN UNSECURE AREA. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
