## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THE GEAR COLLAPSED ON LANDING. MECHANIC'S INITIAL INSPECTION REVEALED THE NOSE GEAR WAS DAMAGED BY THE GRINDING IMPACT OF THE RUNWAY. THE ANGLE OF THE DAMAGE WAS ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE GEAR AS IF THE GEAR WAS RETRACTED. THE MAIN GEAR, TIRES, OR DOORS DID NOT HAVE ANY IMPACT DAMAGE DUE TO THE FACT THE AIRCRAFT WAS RESTING ON THE EXTENDED FLAPS. THE MAIN GEAR WAS UP AND THE DOORS WERE CLOSED. THE DAMAGE WAS NOT CONSISTENT WITH A GEAR COLLAPSING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
